Why #MoralityMatters?



We are finally at the end of the longest and worst political season of my lifetime. It has caused me continually to examine how we got to this place. I've done sincere introspection on what I've said & done over my life, and who I've supported politically. Everything I've ever believed the last 30 years has come into question. I've done more research on the history of the pro-life movement, conservative politicians, and the GOP then ever before. I have strongly believed for last 30 years that one political party was immoral, and that blinded me to follow "the true lesser of two evils". The veils have been removed from my eyes to see that there are three lies of the past 30+ years. First is that morality cannot be legislated, second is that "church" leaders have moral authority, and third is that GOP has moral superiority.

Morality is what defines a society, and it is the principles concerning the distinction between right and wrong or good and evil. Many say that we can't legislate morality, but of course we make laws every day based on what is right and wrong (morality). The question is always who says what is right or wrong, and how a society determines what is in the best interest of the society as a whole. We have become a society where truth is relative, and only the politically correct social justice warriors determine what is right from wrong. It's the secularist that make up our government right now, and where does their morality come from? What guides our morals as believers in Jesus Christ though? Does our morality define our politics or our politics define our morality? We must be guided by the Bible alone.  Our society is falling apart just as the Bible has predicted, because we've lost the idea that #MoralityMatters. We've seen so many hashtags that try to state whose life matters more or less. No life can truly matter if there is no morality guiding our decisions & our character. Whether it's the life of the unborn, the life of those killed in mass shootings, or those on death row.
For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake and for the gospel will save it. What does it profit (matter) a man to gain the wholeworld, yet forfeit his soul? Or what can a man give in exchange for his soul? Mark 8:35-37
First lie that I have believed is that morality cannot be legislated. Irony is that there is a quote by MLK Jr. saying this very thing.
Morality cannot be legislated, but behavior can be regulated. Judicial decrees may not change the heart, but they can restrain the heartless. Martin Luther King Jr.
Does this mean that I believe MLK Jr. was lying? Quite the contrary as I quote him quite often. I believe his premise is right in that it's our behavior that is regulated more than our hearts.  I think he's talking about individual's morality, but when we look at the fact that morals are principles that guide what is right & wrong as a whole for society, then it is the legislation that creates morality in how we behave. Legislation created by man teaches us just as the law of God does that we are sinners who need our behavior regulated.
So the Law became our guardian to lead us to Christ, that we might be justified by faith. Galatians 3:24
We can take the civil war as an example of morality being legislated. Many in the South were fighting for their right to have immoral law of slavery in their states. When they were defeated, Abraham Lincoln proclaimed it was no longer moral to have slavery in our Nation. He gave the emancipation proclamation to proclaim that January 1, 1863. Hearts didn't change, but the principle that all men were created equal said that all men were free and this is who we are as a whole NATION. The Thirteenth Amendment was passed and ratified almost exactly 3 years later. Slavery is now understood to be evil and those who say otherwise are now shamed. I know we are still not a perfect people in understanding that ALL men are created equal, but for this example we have abolished slavery as a popular government sanctioned institution. I pray one day in my lifetime that the genocide of abortion would no longer be a popular government sanctioned institution as well!

Second lie that I've believed all my adult life is that the "Church" & it's leaders have moral authority. I've often listened to them, & referred to them in order to make moral decisions. When I say "Church", I'm talking about it in a more general sense rather than those I choose as spiritual authority at my local church. I've listened to James Dobson for how to raise children, Rick Warren on how to live my life with purpose, and Joyce Meyers on how to win the battle over my mind. I reached for their books before I reached for the Bible to guide me. I'm not saying these are bad outright, but they are when we look to them as our moral authority, especially before the Bible. The Bible alone is our moral authority on every subject, and there is no moral authority that supersedes that!

There is a part B to the second lie, and that is that the "Church" at large is the moral authority of our society. The sad part is the "Church" has ceased to play a part in determining what is right and wrong altogether. We can blame society, hollywood or many other factors for that, but ultimately the church bears full responsibility for our society's moral decay. There was the judgmental church in the 60's, greedy televangelist in 80's, the seeker-sensitive church in 90's, and the complacent prosperity preaching gospel today.  The church has lost it's relevance in the culture today, and this election is but a symptom of how the church has lost it's way. The "Church" has become about prosperity and building great buildings rather than building the Kingdom of God. We are but a stain on our society rather than that city on a hill. We have lost our first love of Christ & His Word. The "Church" is more fearful of losing the ability to say "Merry Christmas", and it's tax status that it is about souls going to Hell!

God and His Word are our soul authority, and we need to stop screaming for a king as we already have the King of Kings, His Word, & the Holy Spirit to guide us, protect us, and LEAD us. We act like we're still waiting for our Savior & crying out like the Jews did for a strong political CONQUEROR! Our FEAR is big, and our god is small to the watching WORLD. We are more fearful of a political figure than we are of standing before OUR righteous Creator!

The third and final lie that I've believed over the years is that the GOP is morally superior. I have believed this because the Democrats are the ones that support unlimited abortion, and don't have the family values. What really solidified their moral deficiency for me was when they booed God in their platform, and Jerusalem as the capitol of Israel. I really thought they were morally corrupt at that point, and I was just like Jonah waiting for the fire and brimstone to come down on their Convention. This political season has caused me to have a serious examination of everything I've known to be true about morality and politics. I've been undone. I've been introspective and reflective of EVERYTHING I've believed and stood for. What I've found through researching, introspection, and reflection has removed all veils from my eyes. I've been extremely repentant for my haughty attitude. I've discovered that in fact the GOP as a whole is just as morally reprehensible as the Democrats, but they're in fact liars and hypocrites.

The GOP is just as much about revisionist history as they scream that the Democrats are on civil rights. They in fact are the PARTY that has been pro-abortionist while pandering to the pro-life movement. By the way, you are not pro-life if you stick a bumper sticker on your car, have babies, and vote for Republicans. If you haven't worked to help save a life, working at Pregnancy Centers, donated, or have worked to pass legislation then you are nothing but a poser! I challenge everyone to look up who wrote the majority decision for Roe vs. Wade, and for a similar decision Doe vs. Bolton.  GOP had the majority to overturn Roe vs. Wade, but didn't do it in Planned Parenthood vs. Casey.  Look them up for yourself in the links provided. There were 5 out of 7 who were Republican nominees in the Roe vs. Wade decision.  It was a Republican nominee that wrote the majority decision and even Ginsburg says was a horribly written decision.

In this election season you'll have to forgive me if I don't adhere to the crisis of the SCOTUS, and that it's the GOP candidate that alone can save us. They have no morally superior authority on their own much less to believe a pathological liar they allowed to be the nominee will actually do what he says he will do. Where was that crisis in the primary? Especially after Scalia died? No, I'm sorry if I don't fall in line to the pandering once more. No party has any moral superiority, especially that has shown a disdain for believers to tell us the truth about their morally apprehensible past.

Only One person is morally superior, only one book has moral authority, and there is only one way for us get back to a moral society, and that is to submit to both. Our feelings, our hopes, and our dreams don't matter when we are seeking what matters morally, and only character and truth matter in selecting a moral leader. There is only one dream we all should have and that is where Martin Luther King Jr. had it exactly right. A dream that our children....

A lesson for my 3 sons - Losing isn't for losers!

To my 3 sons,

It's hard watching you struggle with a loss in football, especially when your loss is so bad on the score board. I usually don't know what to say as I've always seen losing as so awful!! I don't like to lose, and I know you don't like to lose either. It is disheartening, and makes you feel demoralized. I watched it in your face, and it breaks my heart. I know there are so many questions in your minds that are there as we drove 5 hours to get to Midland, wait out a thunderstorm only to feel so defeated. It is so discouraging and disappointing! I was praying and petitioning that the Lord would push back the storm so you could play, and then prayed that He would help you to win. Why did He push back the storm for you to just be so disappointed by another loss? This is what I was asking the Lord on the long drive home at 4 AM. Then something amazing happened....

I went to pick you up from the bus where you were sitting on the curb waiting for me, and I was overwhelmed watching all 3 of you get in the car so demoralized and tired! I thought it was going to be an awful ride home, and what do I say or will it just be awkward silence. The lesson that all 3 of you taught me was that losing isn't for losers!!  The conversation on the way home was reflective in nature on what happened, and what to do better for the FUTURE! Not one time did you discuss giving up. Losing is when you give up!! Losing is when you call it quits!! Losing is when you don't do any self reflection of the good and the bad. You didn't just look at either the good or the bad, but talked about what you each did well and what you each did bad. I was reminded of a warrior who loses a battle to come back and fight another day!! The battle is in the mind. It also reminded me of a verse in Micah:
But as for me, I will watch expectantly for the Lord; I will wait for the God of my salvation. My God will hear me. Do not rejoice over me, O my enemy. Though I fall I will rise; Though I dwell in darkness, the Lord is a light for me. Micah 7:7-8
I thought about a similar season we had the first year you played football where you lost all but one of your games. We played for another organization at the time that was about winning at all cost! We had to end up forfeiting half of the season because they put our team. which was mostly 6th & 7th grade kids against Juniors. We had 4 major injuries that game, and one major concussion. That too was a long bus ride home mostly mad we were put into such a position. What happened the following year was a miracle season when we started a new football association, and we went 9-0 for our first season with an average of 36 points and not one team was able to score on us. We never expected it, and that's what made it so great! Watching you 3 play football is such a lesson in winning & losing! This is the ups and downs of life, but the goal is to NEVER give up & NEVER give in!! To play the game fair, remain humble in winning or losing, learn from both winning and losing, & always give praise and glory to God almighty!!

When I watch you training for football (just like someone who runs a marathon) it takes such discipline of our bodies, often what our bodies can't do naturally without serious training. You have to build stamina, strength, and agility daily to tolerate what your bodies go through on the field. You have to discipline yourselves in your pads & helmets for your bodies to tolerate it. Even after losing you're ready to go back to do it more the following week is amazing stuff. Such discipline isn't for losers!!
Therefore I do not run aimlessly; I do not fight like I am beating the air. No, I discipline my body and make it my slave, so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified. 1 Corinthians 9:27
Any loser can quit when the chips are down, and anybody can keep going to practice for more practices and games when they're winning. But it takes a real fighter and competitor to keep working to discipline their body after such a huge loss. I used to be the parent that was so impressed by your wins and I'll admit that, but I now know that you're way more impressive when you lose!! I'm proud of all 3 of you!!

With that being said, my prayer is that you always walk humbly with your God whether in a loss or win. He's given you all of your abilities and all Glory goes to Him.
He has told you, O man, what is good; And what does the Lord require of you But to do justice, to love kindness, And to walk humbly with your God? Micah 6:8

Dear GOP, It's over!!

Dear GOP,

Our 30 year relationship is now over! It's been over for a while, but I just didn't want to admit it. Don't worry it's not me, it's YOU!! I'm done with your abuse. I'm done hearing how much you love me every time you need money, someone to canvass, someone to vote for you, but then you turn around and you whine and dine someone else! It's only a take relationship for you, and pretty abusive for me. You went too far this time, and you were complicit in letting the bully abuse me! Yes, he did abuse me! He abused me as a woman when he said who would vote for that face, he abused me when he mocked a candidate's wife's looks, he abused me with 9 tweets including some about being a bimbo and crazy! I had tolerated your mistreatment of me for too many years. So I guess I should thank you as you finally helped me get out of this toxic relationship by bringing the bully into the relationship that actually told me he doesn't need me or want me. At least the truth is out!!

I'm a Christian well-educated white woman, and a conservative from the suburbs. I'm the kind of woman you can't win without me voting for you!! I defended you that you did love women, all the while you were disregarding me. I was told I shouldn't love you as a woman, but I defended you anyway. Now you allowed the bully in that is the caricature of everything they said you were and how you were treating me, and I can finally see the light! They were right that you didn't care about me! You now think women should be punished, you now think women should be forced to serve in military, you now believe men should be in women's bathrooms, you hired the man who owns a strip club, you hired the  man who calls women bimbos, you hired the man who supports rapist, had multiple affairs & wives, and was accused of raping his first wife.

I've given to you, worked hard for you, made phone calls, walked, passed out flyers, put up signs, and shown you nothing but loyalty and love. You've been a taker, and you've not kept your promises. You told me you loved me and wanted me, but now I know it was only to use me to get what you wanted!! I'm done, it's over, we're through!!

Don't call me, don't text me, don't write me, because it's really over!! I'm going to try to find a healthy relationship in another party even if they're not as big and fancy as you. I'll find one that appreciates me! Good bye!

My First Day in Cleveland

Taking off from Dallas to Cleveland

Had a great morning heading to the airport from Dallas to Cleveland with a beautiful but hot day. I got to the airport waiting for my flight, and heard a familiar voice of a man with a thick accent talking about Proverbs 14 starting in verse 2 saying that we have to know how important these times are....

I looked up and it was Rafael Cruz, who is Ted Cruz's father. He was talking to some other women and then they called for our flight so I didn't get to talk to him. We got on the airplane and he was sitting right in front of me and across in the aisle. I was getting settled and heard him talking again about another verse he was quoting from memory in Genesis. He was reading the Bible the whole flight and When we landed I finally told him "Thank you for raising such an amazing man who knows the Constitution and the Bible, and I was sorry we didn't get him as the nominee". He said he was going to continue the fight. I really wanted to get a picture together with him, but it was too crowded and we were all getting off the plane. I know that he probably thought I was a stalker as I tried several times to get close again, but each time he was getting his bags or talking to someone. I also wish I could've just prayed for him.


When I went down to baggage claim there were hundreds of people each stopping me to ask if I needed help or directions. I asked one where the shuttle to get to the hotel was and they gave me directions. I then found where I was to meet my shuttle to the hotel and walking out saw heavy security where there were the big guns that all liberals are scared of. When I was walking out saw quite a few police cars and a K-9 unit. Heavy security at the airport!! It was fun to meet lots of delegates and alternate delegates waiting for my shuttle, and there were a lot from New Mexico. They were all excited to see each other, and there seems to be a real camaraderie among the delegates.

I found my shuttle and went to meet my new roomie for the next few days Mary. I met a new friend for the first time at the hotel, and we then talked for several hours. Boy did we have a lot to talk about. We then got information about a strategy meeting for Delegates Unbound where they were having dinner. We met them at a DoubleTree hotel restaurant and met quite a few people with the group. We told them we would help and volunteer in any way that we could. We really enjoyed meeting Josiah who was with the Cruz campaign and I had met him in SC when I was there doing canvassing. 

There were a lot of media people there interviewing the Delegates Unbound coordinators. 



We ate dinner and then headed out to do a live feed on Facebook in front of the convention center. While we were doing the live feed a newscaster for the ABC 5 Eyewitness news in Cleveland asked us for an interview. He heard us say we were with Never Trump and Delegates Unbound. He asked us what we hoped to accomplish and if we thought it would help Hillary. If I find that interview I'll post it for you, but we do have my first FB live feed

We saw lots of police presence and tried to thank as many officers as we could. I told them we were praying for their safety this week. Please pray for everyone's safety this week!! We walked around more and then headed back to the hotel as it was a pretty eventful day and Monday holds a lot of things going on as Monday morning was an effort to try to get enough signatures of delegates from 7 states. I'm Going to my First Political Convention



Ok, ok...I might not have a ticket to get in but I will be at a lot of the festivities starting Sunday for the GOP Convention. There are 1200 events that go on surrounding the Convention and not just the big Convention speeches. It's pretty much like any other Convention where you have lots of other smaller sessions of speakers, events, and venues going on at the same time. So I'll be one of the people hanging around those. I'll be finding any rallies, pro-life events, 2nd Amendment events, and Cruz events. I'm planning on attending a Cruz event on Wednesday afternoon. I'll be doing some live FB events so be looking for that on my FB page for my blog. 

I really prayed for several weeks about whether I should go. I've had mixed feelings as anyone that knows me should know that I'm a #NeverTrump person, and I don't foresee that changing unless Trump has a lobotomy and I will need to have ample proof of it happening!! You can find several other post on my blog to understand why I'm aptly in the #NeverTrump category. Oh don't worry, I'm just as much #NeverHillary as I don't vote for Hillary or her donors especially ones that give $100K to her corrupt Clinton Foundation. I've been a conservative my whole life since I was even in High School, and I've been a registered Republican that whole time. I have never wavered in voting & donating to candidates even when I've wavered on supporting the party. This might be my first and last Convention as a Republican though, as Trump won't ever represent me as a human. 

Well, now that you know where I stand I will try to bring lots of great, fun, informative, and enlightening information to you about the Convention as possible with as minimal bias as I can muster. I'm already doing better than MSM as I at least have told you upfront of my bias. You may wonder what brought me to this adventure? I was really praying about it and really thought we didn't have the provision for it right now. I really started praying that either God would put it out of my mind or would show me that He wants me to go. 

A couple of days ago another lady posted in a group that supported Ted Cruz that they would share a hotel room with another like-minded woman for free. Then a post came up just a few minutes later on my memories when I went to Austin to stand with pro-lifers for the HB2 bill, where I had given a detail account of everything that happened. One of my friends replied that I should be a reporter as my account of it felt like she was there. I felt like that is what God was calling me to do at the Convention, and it was a confirmation for me seeing that pop up at that very minute. 

I began praying about even asking my husband as I know he's the kind that needs to know all the details before he says yes. I tried to research as much as I could about who she was, where the hotel was, etc. Then I asked him if it was a good time to talk about something. This is key ladies as he has to be in the right mindset. I knew that it would depend on if we had enough frequent flyer miles, and other provision. So I just accepted that if that was not available it wouldn't be God's plan. Well, he said we had enough and he just wanted a little bit more information from the lady (Mary) about what her plans were, etc. Everything just fell into place as there was enough frequent flyer miles, provision in my account, his Dad said he wanted to help, and provision of the hotel. WOW, I love when we just release it to God and He always works it out for our good. 


So I'll be reporting as your eyes and ears at the Convention. My goal is to always bring glory and honor to God, get to share in a historical event, meet lots of wonderful new friends, and share as much as I can about all the activities of the Convention with all those who follow this blog! Here we go....

Who is Karma, and why is she a -----?

Karma's a cool chick apparently that's after Dan Patrick. More about Karma in a minute and what she has to do with Dan Patrick, but first let me explain. 

Dan Patrick is apologizing for tweeting the Word of God! This is political correctness gone CRAZY!! For those of you who don't know Dan Patrick tweeted a verse the morning of the terrorist attack in Orlando, FL where a radical Muslim killed people in a gay bar. Dan Patrick is the LT. Gov. of Texas & often post graphics from the Bible unapologetically. This time should've been no different. Here is the outrageous tweet that Dan Patrick sent!! I can't believe how awful that tweet is & apparently he should be removed from office immediately! 
Dan Patrick has now sent out a statement: 

Statement Regarding Orlando Tragedy and Twitter and Facebook Post 
AUSTIN – Speaking for the Lt. Governor, Patrick Advisor Allen Blakemore said: 
“Lt. Governor Patrick and every Texan is stunned and saddened by the outrageous act of domestic terrorism that has occurred in Orlando. He and Jan are praying for the victims, their families and their friends. 
“Regarding this morning’s scripture posting on social media, be assured that the post was not done in response to to last night’s tragedy. The post was designed and scheduled last Thursday. 
“The Lt. Governor is traveling out of the country, but our social media team has deleted the posts and graphics. We regret the unfortunate timing of these posts and ask everyone to join us in praying for the people of Orlando in this awful time.”
Now that he just gave the homosexuals ammunition to attack him and the Bible. They're even lying about what he said in his statement and saying that he blamed his social media team so it really worked out well to calm the storm didn't it? When will Christians learn to stop being afraid of the Bible as the truth? We are supposed to believe:
All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: 2 Timothy 3:16 
For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Hebrews 4:12
I'm choosing to believe Dan Patrick that it was a pre-planned tweet, but what if he did tweet it out himself after the massacre in Orlando? Would the Word of God cease to be true as he could've just as well been talking about the killer who will spend his time in eternal damnation! Not because he yelled Allah Al Akbar while killing dozens of people and injuring dozens more, but because he rejected the One Messiah that died for him, was buried & rose on the 3rd day!

But let's get real about those who were at a gay bar at 2 AM in the morning! I grieve for the loss of their life, but most of all just like ALL those who die without Christ I grieve for their soul & not their physical death. I also grieve because I've seen so many comment about how much the gay bar Pulse meant to them and saying how their "safe place" was taken from them. How foolish can you be? They think they were safe because they were loved "unconditionally" there, without judgement or fear. They were looking for a place that doesn't exist on this Earth, and were trying to create their own Heaven on Earth. It was a fantasy! They went there to do whatever they wanted without judgement or fear of judgement. There is no such thing! Most likely they were getting drunk in a bar at 2 AM, having homosexual sex with multiple partners, & pretending they were safe! The bar Pulse was started because the sister of a homosexual man who died of AIDS started it. Just let that sink in for a second! Homosexuals lifespan is 20 years less then heterosexuals, so let's make a bar where they can come have multiple partners in memory of a man who died from AIDS. God has natural laws for a reason, and they're for our own good. How hypocritical could these people that want Dan Patrick to "delete his account" & "resign immediately" be as ever said and think "Karma is a ------"!
Karma means action, work or deed; it also refers to spiritual principle of cause and effect where intent and actions of an individual (cause) influence the future of that individual (effect). Good intent and good deed contribute to good karma and future happiness, while bad intent and bad deed contribute to bad karma and future suffering. Wikipedia
Given this definition it's basically the same thing as the verse that Dan Patrick wrote. The only thing that makes it different is that it's from the Bible and that it's God doing the judging about it. Who thinks good will come at a bar at 2 AM? My Mom used to tell me that nothing good happened after 11 PM, and that's why she always wanted me home by then. My Mom told me that for my own good, because true evil loves to work in the darkness of the night!! This has nothing to do with homosexuality, but to believe that you're safe at a bar at 2 AM with a bunch of drunk homosexuals OR heterosexuals is ludicrous! I'm tired of homosexuals & transgenders now being the only ones that AREN'T degenerates! There are all kinds of heterosexual perverts on college campuses, but none in gay bars now at 2 AM? Stop this CRAZY political correctness!! The verse about reaping what you sow, doesn't mean they deserved to die but that there are consequences for good & evil. Actually, I take that back as we are ALL appointed once to die and we ALL deserve Hell, but because of God's mercy we can be saved!

We will all die, but the question we must answer is how we will die? Some will die more tragic deaths then others but none more tragic then dying thinking you are in a safe place! The second question is where will you spend eternity? Pulse is not a safe place and the true tragedy is dying without the peace of Christ in your life to know where you will go AFTER you die!

My heart does break for the lives lost, & the families that are grieving such unbelievable loss in such senseless tragedy & violence! That doesn't mean that the Bible ceases to be true! The Bible often talks about reaping or harvesting what you've sown. This is about God's natural law just like people would say about Karma. If you sow in the flesh, you will reap in the flesh and other verses talk about reaping good fruit verses reaping bad fruit. WE WILL reap what WE sow, no matter who we are! That's the truth, and the massacre doesn't change that from one day to the next! There is nothing hateful about that truth. There are many that now want a man removed from office for sharing a Bible verse! Just let that sink in for a minute. They seem to hate Dan Patrick more for sharing a Bible verse than the man that actually killed people! Ironically, one even tweeted that Karma was coming to Texas because of all the floods. I guess it's ok though that Karma's a -----, whoever she is.

Make America Good Again

We hear the wonderful platitude of how one candidate is going to #MakeAmericaGreatAgain. What does that mean? What makes America great? From what I hear from people voting for him he's going to make America great by building what sounds like a 310 foot wall if you count how many times he's said it just got 10 ft. taller. They also say America will be great again, because we stop all illegal immigration and we will all have jobs. Is that what makes America great though? I'm really not arguing the policies right now, but let's really think if this is the key to making America great. There are many countries that have close to 0 unemployment, but are they great. There are many countries who have great walls & have had great big YUGE walls, but are they great? There are many countries who have no illegal immigration & are they great?

Any country can have walls, no illegal immigration, & jobs but is that what makes them great. I really think our country is great because it is good. I had my children say a blessing before they ate when they were young, "God is great, God is good, let us thank Him for our food". The Bible talks about that God is both great and good. How can America be great if we aren't good? What is the difference? Great means of ability, quality, or eminence considerably above the normal or average. (From Bing) Good means possessing or displaying moral virtue, that which is morally right or righteous. (From Bing) One of the fruits of the spirit is goodness, and means the quality of being good (Galatians 5:22). The Bible tells us to think of things that are of good repute/report (Philippians 4:8).

What is it then that has made America good?
A French philosopher who visited our shores when America was a new young nation left a similar warning. Alexis De Tocqueville said he came to the United States to learn what magic quality enabled a handful of people to defeat the might British Empire twice in 35 years. He looked for the greatness of America in her harbors and rivers, her fertile fields and boundless forests, mines and other natural resources. He studied America's schools, her Congress, and her matchless Constitution without comprehending America's power. Not, until he went into the churches of America and heard pulpits "aflame with righteousness" did he understand the secret of her genius and strength. De Tocqueville returned to France and wrote: 'America is great because America is good, and if America ever ceases to be good, America will cease to be great.' John Stormer, Death of a Nation, 1968
This blog never started out to be political, but I have to profess that I've had a passion for it since I was a teenager. I'm not a Republican by identity, but necessity. It most closely aligns with my values regarding the party platform. I identify as a true Reagan constitutional conservative. I became a Reagan constitutional conservative at the age of 16 when I saw what the Carter administration did as a young girl. I remember the feelings of fear having a weak President, and anyone who thinks kids don't feel that and understand that don't understand the heart of children who can feel what is going on even when they don't understand really what's causing it. I remember the long lines at gas stations waiting for hours to get gas with hot chocolate & blankets to keep warm in the car. I remember the fears of my Mom wondering if we would have enough gas to get to work until the next time we could get back in line to wait. I remember the anxiety of inflation when we went to the grocery store, and how it was hurting everyone. Being raised by a single Mom in a small industrial town was where I could really feel all those anxieties even though I didn't understand everything about it.

Then came Reagan into office, and I can remember all those anxieties seemed to turn to hope for a better future. It did become a better future as the hostages were freed the same day that he was inaugurated. I can clearly remember the day my Mom bought herself a new car, a Plymouth Reliant K. We had usually borrowed my grandparents old car, and finally she had something of her own. That was a great day for us, and the freedom that we felt to have a car of our own. On January 28, 1986 there was so much excitement in the air at our school as the Space Shuttle Challenger was launched into the air with a school teacher Sharon Christa McAuliffe on board. It was televised live by satellite at my High School where I watched it in my social studies class.  It was promoted to schools by NASA because of the teacher on board, and to inspire children & teenagers in exploration of space. Live before our eyes we watched in horror as the shuttle disintegrated. It was something I will never forget. I remember that evening when Reagan addressed the Nation. He really encompassed the grief that we all felt, but also helped us to see the hope that NASA exploration would go on to do even greater things. This sums up the of goodness our country in that we dream big dreams, we accept the risk, but we forge through with hope when disasters come. One of Reagan's greatest accomplishments was putting one of the greatest defenders of life, liberty, and freedoms on the Supreme Court of the United States, Justice Antonin Scalia. Putting another strict Constitutionalist like Justice Scalia on the court is one of the single most important issues of this election. We can only trust that to a true Constitutional Conservative that memorized it, debated it, defended it at the SCOTUS 9 times on important religious liberty cases, states right cases, and Second Amendment case.

It was in my youth when Reagan became President that these feelings of hope for the future, and gratefulness for a free Nation caused me to be interested in politics. It grew over the years into what my husband would call an obsession to some degree. I'm obsessed about educating my children and others about being involved in the political process. I do have a love/hate relationship with politics where many just have a hate or a love for it. My son told me he hates politics because of all the arguing that goes on. I tell people that say they hate politics that it's like hot dogs or sausage. Do you like them? Well, I'm sure you don't want to hear or know the process but it's the process that creates what you like, and you wouldn't have what you like without the process. Politics is the same way. Do you like freedom & your rights given to us by the Constitution? It's the ugly process that gives us what we want, need, and like as Americans. The difference is that "We the People" are the only way we keep what we like by being a part of the ugly process. What I love about politics is what makes America good not great. Politics in America starts with the first Amendment where we fight out in an arena of ideas what America has been and will be for future generations. That has to be passed down to each generation, and then find the candidate who will fight for those ideas not with grand platitudes but substantive bold vision for the future of this Nation!

The deliberations of the Constitutional Convention of 1787 were held in strict secrecy. Consequently, anxious citizens gathered outside Independence Hall when the proceedings ended in order to learn what had been produced behind closed doors. The answer was proved immediately. A Mrs. Powell of Philadelphia asked Benjamin Franklin, 'Well, Doctor, what have we got, a republic or a monarchy?' With no hesitation whatsoever, Franklin responded, 'A republic, if we can keep it.'
We often hear about the American Dream, but what does it mean really? Wikipedia defines it as:
The American Dream is a national ethos of the United States, the set of ideals (Democracy, Rights, Liberty, Opportunity, and Equality) in which freedom includes the opportunity for prosperity and success, and an upward social mobility for the family and children, achieved through hard work in a society with few barriers. 
There is a movie that demonstrates this best entitled "The Pursuit of Happyness". This is a movie based off of a true story about a man named Chris Gardner who is struggling to provide for his family. His story is amazing with no education he runs into a stock broker on the street getting into a fancy car, and asked him what he does for a living. He asked him if he had gone to college and he said no just 6 month internship & you have to know numbers. He had worked hard as a salesman to sell his bone density scanners he invested in, but had a lot of struggles and obstacles to that. His wife left because of their financial situation, he lost his home, and had to scrape for everything to provide for him and his son. He didn't live in the projects and wasn't on food stamps. He worked for a better life for himself and his son. He did the internship by working harder and smarter than the others which landed him the job. There are two great quotes from the movie that demonstrate the greatness of America.
Chris Gardner: Hey. Don't ever let somebody tell you... You can't do something. Not even me. All right?
Christopher (his son): All right.
Chris Gardner: You got a dream... You gotta protect it. People can't do somethin' themselves, they wanna tell you you can't do it. If you want somethin', go get it. Period. 
It was right then that I started thinking about Thomas Jefferson on the Declaration of Independence and the part about our right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. And I remember thinking how did he know to put the pursuit part in there? That maybe happiness is something that we can only pursue and maybe we can actually never have it. No matter what. One of the best lines in the whole movie is when Chris shows up for the interview to do the internship as a broker. He comes in with his sleeveless undershirt with paint all over him because he just ran to interview from staying in jail over night for parking tickets. He had paint on because when he was arrested he had been painting his apartment, because he promised the landlord he'd paint it if he gave him one more week. Here's what the manager in the interview asked him and his answer:
Martin Frohm: What would you say if a man walked in here with no shirt, and I hired him? What would you say?
Chris Gardner: He must have had on some really nice pants.
This movie is so inspirational to me that through hard work and perseverance you can achieve anything in the greatest country in the World! There is a great scene in the movie that illustrates why America is good. The scene is when Chris Gardner and his son go to the homeless shelter and they attend church and Chris is embracing his son while the song "Lord don't move that mountain", but before the song came on Reverend Williams says:
The important thing about that freedom train, is it's got to climb mountains. We all have to climb mountains, you know. Mountains that go way up high and mountains that go deep and low. Yes, we know what those mountains are here at Glide. We sing about them. 
In another scene Chris' son Christopher begins to tell him a story.
Hey dad, you wanna hear something funny? There was a man who was drowning, and a boat came, and the man on the boat said 'Do you need help?' and the man said 'God will save me'. Then another boat came and he tried to help him, but he said 'God will save me', then he drowned and went to Heaven. Then the man told God, 'God, why didn't you save me?' and God said 'I sent you two boats, you dummy!'
These are all things to me that express what makes our country great because we are good! It was seeking a better life for himself and his son through the very hard struggles that made Chris achieve the American Dream. It was also that hope for a better future and never giving up on it! It's not having everything handed to you on a silver platter that makes someone successful, great, or good!

I saw a video of a guy that said he wants a job and not a hand out. I love that guy, but the problem is that guy thinks that Trump is the answer when he isn't the answer. Cruz said it best at the end of one of the debates why Trump can't build the American Dream, because he doesn't understand it. Trump was fed with a silver spoon and has no concept of those who have scraped by and worked hard to build a business from NOTHING! Not only has Trump not built his business from the ground up he's been the problem for the last 45 years and now wants to say he can fix it because he knows from experience the problem giving to politicians for favors! That's like asking the fox to guard the henhouse. That's not how it works at all!

We need someone who understands the heart of the American Dream and the banner of Freedom. Who understands that better than Ted Cruz. He is the son of an immigrant Father who escaped from communist Cuba right after the rise of Cuban dictator Castro. Rafael Cruz had been in a Cuban prison, and escaped the prison and Cuba to come to America. Rafael began as a dishwasher and worked hard to achieve the American Dream for himself and his family. Battled issues in his life like alcohol and discovered a better way of life through his relationship with Jesus Christ. He then taught his son the Bible along with the Constitution at the dinner table every evening. The ethics of freedom and hard work were drilled into Ted Cruz at a very young age.

Ted Cruz went on to go to Princeton and Harvard. He helped to put himself through college and his parents worked hard to help him to get a great education to fulfill his dream of fighting for the Constitution. Instead of writing out his whole resume I'll just put it here for you.

Donald Trump disparaged Ted Cruz's faith by saying "not many evangelicals come out of Cuba". Yet Ted Cruz has said many times he won't disparage Donald Trump's faith despite the fact that Trump said "no one is a better person that he is", he shows his lack of understanding of scripture or following God's truth in any aspect of his life, and he says he never has asked for forgiveness or has a need to ask. Ted Cruz has never disparaged Donald Trump's wives or children despite the fact that Donald Trump tweeted a horrible picture of Heidi Cruz and saying he would "spill the beans" about his wife. Ted Cruz has only said that Trump's wife is "lovely" and a "good mother". When Ted Cruz talks about his wife he says "she amazes me everyday", "she's my best friend", "she's the love of my life" and "I love her very much". While Trump has only talked about his wife's looks, and it leaves me to wonder when he will leave her for a younger model like he did with his last 2 wives.

I read a story recently about how the eagle was chosen as our national bird and eventually the national symbol. Benjamin Franklin is said to have wanted the Turkey as the national bird.
For my own part I wish the eagle had not been chosen the representative of our country. He is a bird of bad moral character. -Ben Franklin
The American bald eagle was adopted as the national bird symbol of the United States of America in 1782 as suggested by many of the Founding Fathers. The bald eagle was chosen for it's majestic beauty, great strength, long life, and because it's native to North America. I have to disagree with Ben Franklin that the eagle is of bad moral character. If a bird can have moral character than I would think it is the eagle that has great moral character verses the Turkey that has bad moral character. The turkey does not mate for life, does not have good vision, and can't fly or soar. The male turkey fans its feather to attract females, ruffles all its feathers and gives the appearance its bigger than it actually is. It is weak and was originally called the turkey fowl. Does that remind you of any candidate? The bald eagle on the other hand has great vision and mates for life. They are known to make huge nest in the highest trees to guard over their young. Bald eagles are majestic and is talked about in many verses in the Bible because of its strength to carry up to 15 lbs.
Though youths grow weary and tired, and vigorous young men stumble badly, yet those who wait for the Lord will gain new strength; they will mount up with wings like eagles, they will run and not get tired, they will walk and not become weary. Isaiah 40:30-31
One day I was in Montana spending some time in prayer and reading the Bible. I looked to the mountains that were snow capped at the time and saw an eagle soaring across the mountain. I thought of this verse and how long & wide those eagles wings are with some of the longest wing span of any bird. I thought of how easy they soar without growing tired or weary. What hope that gave me in a difficult time I was going through where I felt extremely weak and weary! That kind of strength can only come from waiting on the Lord, as we do what He instructs us to do.

I believe we once again have a choice to make whether we will choose the turkey or the American bald eagle. We know that with Ted Cruz we will have a strong protector of our young in the womb and a strong protector of our freedom as he's fought in the Supreme Court 9 times. Ben Franklin might have been wrong about the turkey but he was right that we've been given a Republic if we can keep it, but we must carefully protect what has been given to us. Our rights come from our Creator and not from man or our government. We must choose the one candidate who understands the same God that created the eagle to set it's nest up high and gave men wisdom to create the greatest document ever written has been the greatest part of making our country great because we have sought to worship the God that makes us good!
Is it at your command that the eagle mounts up and makes his nest on high? Job 39:27
There is not any candidate that can make our country great if they don't understand what makes it good. We can only be good if we follow the One that commands the eagle to make it's huge protective nest on high. Let's once again choose the Great American Bald Eagle and not the Turkey!

FYI, even an Eagle knows a Turkey when he sees one!

Documentation of the Deplorables - The Making of an anti-Conservative Caricature

Trump is the undoing of the whole Christian value system we've worked so hard to establish with Biblical principles, and completely defining conservatives as the caricature that the libs have tried to do a broad brush on us for years. This is officially the undoing of a Christian heritage in this country and a Conservative movement that got it's feet underneath it with the election of Reagan.

I'm using this blog to document everything that I have a screen shot of that shows Trump's support for the White Supremacist groups, Nazis, Segregationist, and anti-semites.

First, we just had David Duke endorse him by saying a vote against Trump is "treason against our heritage". Donald Trump has manually retweeted White Supremacist 3 times, and did delete one tweet after he was caught, but never denounced the groups he tweeted. He disavowed after saying he didn't know the groups or who David Duke was. There was a White Supremacist Super Pac that made robo calls in several states saying "don't vote for a Cuban". The following is just some of the documented tweets and twitter accounts I've made screen shots of to date.

This is a tweet that would be innocent in isolation, but the fact it was tweeted from a White Supremacist website along with all the other tweets paints a not so innocent story! To be fair Clinton has some anti-semites who support her like Blumenthal, so I don't support Clinton or her donors (especially those who contributed $100K to her corrupt Clinton Foundation). Clinton though hasn't done these dog whistles to them, & then deleted them, yet not condemned them like this.


David Duke tweets about Clinton's comment about the 1/2 of Trump's supporters are "basket of deplorables". 


David Duke chimes in that even after it's changed to a circle their hand of White Supremacy has been exposed.

VP Presidential candidate denounces David Duke and says he doesn't want his support, but then refuses to call him deplorable. Says he isn't into calling names when he's on the ticket with the biggest name caller EVER!! 



Then David Duke praises Mike Pence for not calling him deplorable. That might be why the media keeps bringing him up because they refuse to completely shut it down!! And continue to blow dog whistles their way. 100% denounce and say that what David Duke has said and done is deplorable as is Hillary for accepting money from KKK or for what she's said in the past about Robert Byrd and her support of Margaret Sanger. SHUT IT DOWN!! But no he gives David Duke the ability to actually praise his wishy washy answer!!
